American White Oak
The Timeless Timber
American White Oak is a highly attractive timber that showcases the traditional oak characteristics. It comes both back sawn (rings) and quartersawn (straight).
The heartwood is a pale yellow to mid-brown with a light-coloured sapwood.
American White Oak is a very stable and naturally hardwearing timber sourced predominantly from Northern America.
Premium
Our Premium grade is predominately clean and has the most consistent colour across the timber.
Small pin knots and character markings are permitted.
Small quantities of sapwood is permitted.
Character
Our Character grade is a blend of approximately 70% Premium and 30% Rustic grades.
Moderate knots and character markings are permitted. Small amounts of cracks and splits are permitted.
A greater mix of heartwood and lighter sapwood is permitted.
Rustic
Our Rustic grade has all the natural features that makes solid timber a wholly unique and beautiful flooring option.
All knot sizes, character markings and splits/cracks are permitted as long as they are fillable.
Greater mix of heartwood and lighter sapwood.
