Solid Timber Cladding

Solid hardwood Cladding is an excellent way to bring a natural but durable exterior to any building.

We mill our Shiplap Cladding boards primarily from our Thermo Oak timber. However, we also work with a range of local partners to mill other timbers where certain building specifications need to be met (ie BAL 29 fire rating).

All of our solid timber Cladding is tongue-and-groove and end-matched for uniformity across our range. This speeds up and improves the quality of the installation while also reducing waste.

Shiplap Cladding Profile

Our Shiplap Cladding profile is specifically designed to perform when exposed to the elements:

  • the cladding face is profiled to promote water run-off

  • the tounge-and-groove is milled to allow for greater expansion of the timber over the seasons

  • the end match is designed to create a better seal than traditional end match / butt joins profiles

Sawn Face

For those looking for a rustic exterior, we offer a ‘sawn’ face grade for our Shiplap Cladding.

This profile creates a textured face while maintaining the precision milling of the tounge-and-groove and endmatch.

Local Partners

We work with local partners to source alternate timbers for our cladding when building regulations require a specific characteristic for solid timber cladding.

Usually, this will occur when a Bal 29 fire rating is required.

Our local partners can provide a range of timbers including Southern Blue Gum, Silvertop Ash, Red Ironbark and Grey Ironbark.
